Clinical duties include: acceptance and commissioning of equipment; development and clinical implementation of new technologies and techniques; physics support for all services offered within the RTP; consultation with radiation therapists and oncologists; quality improvement; and participation in disease site teams. Medical physicists in our program work closely with radiation oncologists and clinical specialist radiotherapists to implement the latest technologies in radiotherapy for our patients. The successful candidate will be expected to seek an academic appointment at the University of Toronto's Department of Radiation Oncology (UTDRO), and will participate in UTDRO’s Radiation Oncology Residency Program. Academic appointments within other departments at the University of Toronto and at Toronto Metropolitan University are possible.
