Pieces of Interest from COMP for the week of March 14 – Novel Radioligand Therapy and Prostate Cancer/Improvements to Micro-Computed Tomography/COMP Gold Medal & Sylvia Fedoruk Prize/International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

Published on:

  • Novel radioligand therapy has proven to be superior for metastatic prostate cancer patients according to research published by The Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Researchers in biomedical physics and biology have significantly improved micro-computed tomography, making it possible to depict and analyze the microstructures of samples in greater detail.
  • Submit your nominations for the COMP Gold Medal and Sylvia Fedoruk Prize! The submission deadline is coming up on March 30!
  • International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

The CWC-AAR Team would like to invite you to have an informal, but informative conversation about how we can end racism in Medical Physics, our workplaces, and with our own actions. March 21 is declared the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination - where do you see it in your workplace, in your school, in your community? What can you do about it? How do you become more involved in anti-racism actions in your spaces?

Bring your beverage of choice, a snack and connect with other Medical Physicists who are passionate about diving deep into our own learnings and experiences around racism. Bring your questions, bring your comments, and most of all, bring a humble and open mind.
