We’re thrilled to welcome an incredible lineup of speakers:
- Sajjad Ahmad Khan (PhD Candidate, Université Laval) – Sajjad earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Science and Technology from Amity University Noida, India, and his Master’s in Nuclear Science and Engineering from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Université Laval, where his research focuses on the development of a novel scintillation dosimeter for use in radiotherapy QA. His talk is titled: “Design and characterization of a novel 2D dosimeter using long scintillating fibers for high-resolution radiotherapy QA.”
- Zain ul Abidin (Medical Physicist, SIUT Hospital Karachi) – Zain earned his MSc in Medical Physics from Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences (PIEAS), and he is currently a Medical Physicist at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Karachi, Pakistan. His talk is titled: “An Introduction to ICRP 145 Computational Phantoms in Geant4 and Their Applications: A Monte Carlo QA Study of Dose Perturbations from Metallic Prostheses.”
- Gabrielle Lee (PhD Candidate, University of Calgary) – Gabrielle is a PhD candidate in Radiation Oncology Physics at the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on developing and optimizing 3D gel dosimetry techniques for volumetric dose verification, with an emphasis on MRI-based workflows. Her talk is titled: “Evaluation of an Optimized Fricke Xylenol Orange Gel for 3D Dose Verification using MRI.”
