Dear COMP members and colleagues from the radiation medicine community,It is my pleasure to be sharing details of the Canadian Organization for Medical Physicists (COMP) 2025 Winter School taking place from January 29 – February 1, 2025, in Calgary Alberta.
As a lifelong learner and enthusiastic educator, our theme, Embracing Change in Modernizing Education Across Radiation Medicine, speaks directly to me. I am excited to learn about, and be engaged in, the advances happening in this part of our field.
Join me and the Winter School Planning Committee, Co-Chaired by Sarah Quirk and Michael Roumeliotis, for a dynamic and interactive program. Together we’ll explore how emerging technologies like AI and automation are transforming education and training programs and we will collaborate on the current education state of each discipline.
Our field is inherently multidisciplinary and creating education plans for each of our communities requires the collaborative insights and expertise of all involved. I encourage our our physician and MRT colleagues to join us to ensure that our educational approaches prepare our future professionals to deliver the best possible patient care.
