Hello COMP members and colleagues,

I am delighted to invite you to join us at the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists’ (COMP) 71st Annual Scientific Meeting, taking place June 4-7, 2025, in London Ontario, where I have the privilege of living and working. London has been a centre of medical physics innovation for decades, making it a fitting location for this year’s theme: Advancing Care Through Personalized Imaging and Adaptive Radiotherapy.

Our Annual Scientific Meeting is a cornerstone of collaboration and professional growth in Canadian medical physics.  It has always been a time for us to come together to share innovative new practices, and emerging trends in the field, while connecting with each other as a community.  This year’s meeting will again feature a great lineup of scientific talks, continuing education sessions and professional programming from some of the best medical physics minds from across the country and beyond.  We are also excited to include a pre-conference workshop on reirradiation which will offer a valuable opportunity to delve deeper into this complex topic.

London offers a vibrant cultural and scientific community that I, and my colleagues on the Local Arrangements Committee, are excited to share with you. An easy distance from Toronto it is simple to get here, while remaining a small city surrounded by natural areas. Join us in London to meet with friends and share in the exciting scientific discussion.

I look forward to welcoming you to London in June.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Surry, PhD, MCCPM
