CWC-IDEA Committee Presents: Reflecting on Intergenerational Harm of the Canadian Health Care System
Speaker: Nadine McRee
Length: 1 hour
Style: Zoom Virtual session
Join us to learn and reflect on the history of Indian hospitals and health inequities, see how our current patients and colleagues continue to be impacted. We will then learn about tools that help tackle the health inequities and create a more inclusive health care system in Alberta and across Canada.
Our speaker, Nadine McRee, is a proud Saddle Lake Cree First Nation member and has played a lead role in Indigenous Health over the past 25 years. Currently, Nadine is a project director with the Indigenous Support Line, within Health Link/811, for Primary Care Alberta, that focuses on providing culturally safe care for Indigenous peoples and quality improvement across our health care systems. She is extremely passionate about enhancing the well-being of Indigenous peoples and enthusiastic to engage with all populations so that together systematic change and improvements to Indigenous Health can be made.
