The International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2025
The International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) is approaching on November 7th, and we want to celebrate with the COMP community! In the past, we have held a photo contest, but this year, we wanted to encourage you to flex your creative muscles even further. This year’s contest will be a general “Art” contest. This can include photos, as before, but we now also welcome drawings, paintings, poems – whatever you can imagine! The theme for IDMP this year is “Medical Physics and Emerging Technologies: Shaping the Next Decade.” Some ideas may include (but are not limited to):
- A photo of your team installing or commissioning a new technology
- A graph or image from your research involving the development of something innovative
- An artistic interpretation of a technological advancement you envision for the future

The lucky winning entry, selected by the COMP Communications Committee, will receive $250 in Curie cash, which can be used towards COMP membership or conference fees. We can’t wait to see what you create!
