  • Attention COMP members! Are you interested in learning how to navigate the complexities of bias and disclosure in the hiring process? Do you want to gain tools and strategies for tackling unconscious bias and making the process more equitable and accessible? What can you expect when applying to a centre that cares about equity? Join us at 1 PM EST on February 27th for IDEAs at Home on "Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Hiring in Medical Physics" to learn, share, and discuss!

Our invited speaker, Sandra Parris, VP Talent at Mayk (a Toronto-based creative agency) will present how the job search and hiring process is being changed by those passionate about creating equitable and accessible workspaces that attract the best talent. This interactive workshop will explore the inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility barriers in the hiring process, and provide practical techniques for addressing and eliminating some of them. It will take a look at the process from an interviewees perspective, what to expect, what to look for, and how to prepare.

Pre-register here and don’t miss the chance to participate in this timely conversation in a welcoming space.
